Our spotlight member this month is Janet Bonnin who owns and operates Simple Journeys, Organizational & Life Coaching.  Janet grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she graduated from LSU with a degree in Industrial Engineering.  Geaux Tigers!  Janet and her husband, John, lived in San Antonio back in the early eighties (B.C. Before Children).  They enjoyed it so much they decided to return in 2001 to live in Boerne and finish raising their three great sons, Jeffrey, John Michael and Joseph. 

Janet was born and raised in the Roman Catholic Church.  She and her family love being part of the wonderful community at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Boerne, where they’ve attended since moving back to Texas.  

Janet Bonnin truly feels God called her to her ministry in this business 8 years ago and has greatly blessed her efforts.  Janet is a Parent Coach.  She offers simple solutions and coaching support to busy parents who desire to build better lives for themselves and their children.  In a powerful and positive ongoing process, parents team with Janet to smooth daily routines and get more accomplished with less time and effort.  The focus then shifts to bigger picture items like how to become a more effective parent, instill values in our children, communicate with greater respect and love, build a strong sense of family, and expect the best from our children.  Janet also works in Christian and secular settings conducting workshops and retreats in the Greater San Antonio and Hill Country areas.  Whenever possible, she seeks to help parents explore their own spirituality and encourages them to pass their spiritual heritage and love of God on to their children. 

Janet loves spending time playing and traveling with her family, pursuing personal spiritual growth and ministering to busy families through her business. 

Janet is an avid reader.  The last book she enjoyed reading was The Strong-Willed Child by Dr. James Dobson.  This is a classic in Parenting circles and is timeless in much of its wisdom. 

Janet joined the Christian Business Chamber of Commerce approximately 4 years ago and loves meeting with, inspiring and getting inspired by other Christian business people interested in being a witness to their faith in all parts of their lives.
